Undergrads: Internship: Carlson Center Undergraduate Community Based Internship Application Materials DUE OCTOBER 22

A reminder that student application materials for the Carlson Center’s Undergraduate Community Based Internship (UCBI) program are available and due Monday, October 22nd.  UCBI provides approximately 35 undergraduate students the opportunity to engage in paid community based internship experiences with non-profit and public sector organizations during both winter and spring quarters. Internships begin January 7, 2019 and conclude at the end of spring quarter, 2019.

The Undergraduate Community-Based Internship (UCBI) program, developed in partnership with the UW Career & Internship Center, provides opportunities for undergraduates to grow professionally and personally, examine issues of social justice, gain an understanding of the diverse communities in Seattle and explore career paths in the public and non-profit sectors.

They can access more information and preview application materials via the Carlson Center’s web site.  The application process is now open, and internship descriptions are available for review prior to application.  Materials must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Monday, October 22.

We encourage students to attend our last information session tomorrow, Friday, October 19, 1:00 pm-2:00 pm, in MGH 136. Students who are not available at that time can also visit our office tomorrow morning between 10 am-12:30 pm for drop in hours with one of our UCBI Graduate Student Mentors.

Questions? Email serve@uw.edu; give our team of Graduate Student Mentors a call at (206) 543-5514; or visit Mary Gates Hall 171 and ask to speak with a Carlson Center UCBI Team Member.
